What Makes Our Contact Fittings Different?

It all comes down to our experience and tech-driven approach.

With technology and techniques like corneal topography, our contact lens fittings help us analyze your eyes and find contacts that not only help support your vision but also complement your lifestyle.

We can fit a comprehensive range of contacts, from soft contacts all the way to specialty lenses like RGP, multifocal, toric, and scleral lenses.

Scleral Contacts: Managing Keratoconus & Dry Eye

Certain eye conditions can make finding contacts that suit your needs difficult. A few of these issues are keratoconus and dry eye. These issues may be common, but they are not untreatable.

We can help address them with the help of special contacts known as scleral lenses.

What Are Scleral Lenses?

Scleral lenses are a specialized type of contact lens that can help address the symptoms of keratoconus. These lenses rest on your sclera (the white part of your eye) and can provide a smooth surface to help support your visual clarity and eye comfort.

It’s their unique design that allows them to address issues like keratoconus and dry eye.

Keratoconus is an eye condition in which the cornea thins and becomes irregularly shaped. This can lead to blurred vision, distortion, glare, light sensitivity, and other visual disturbances.

Scleral lenses can address this issue by vaulting over your cornea to create space between the lens and your eye. That extra space helps the lenses support your comfort while still providing clear vision.

Dry eye is a common condition that affects the quantity and quality of tears your eyes produce naturally. It can lead to several uncomfortable long-term symptoms, such as burning, scratchy sensations.

By vaulting over your cornea, the space between a scleral lens and your eye can act as a reservoir where tears can accumulate to support your eye comfort and help prevent dry eye symptoms.
